COMPUTER LAB RULE
Welcome to the computer lab! This lab is designed to provide you with access to technology and resources that
will enhance your learning experience. To ensure that everyone has a positive and productive time in the lab,
please follow these rules and regulations:
General Rules:

Use appropriate language. Avoid swearing, offensive language, and personal attacks.

Follow the instructions of the lab assistant or teacher. This includes arriving on time, completing
assignments, and following all safety guidelines.

Keep the lab clean and tidy. This includes putting away your belongings and disposing of trash properly.
- No food or drinks are allowed in the lab. This is to help prevent spills and damage to the equipment.

Do not use the computers for personal reasons without permission. This includes checking personal
email, playing games, or browsing social media.

Do not download or install any software without permission. This includes unauthorized programs, games, or
music.
- Be mindful of the time limit. Computer lab time is limited, so please use your time wisely.
Computer Usage:
- Use your assigned computer. Do not switch computers without permission.

Do not change the settings on the computers. This includes the desktop background, screen saver, or system
settings.

Do not access inappropriate websites. This includes websites with pornography, violence, or hate speech.
- Do not use peer-to-peer (P2P) applications. This is to help prevent the spread of viruses and malware.

Report any problems you encounter to the lab assistant or teacher. This includes software problems, hardware
problems, or suspicious activity.
Consequences of breaking the rules:
- First offense: Verbal warning.
- Second offense: Written warning.
- Third offense: Loss of computer privileges.
- Fourth offense: Disciplinary action.
Safety:
- Do not eat or drink in the lab. This is to help prevent spills and damage to the equipment.
- Do not touch the electrical cords or outlets.
- Do not run in the lab.
- Report any accidents or spills immediately.
